Privacy policy

As a rule, our website can be used without providing any personal data. Where personal data (for example your name or email address) is collected on our pages, this is always done on a voluntary basis. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

No cookies, no tracking

This website does not set any cookies and does not use any analytics, advertising or tracking services. No content is loaded from third-party servers. Even the fonts are hosted locally on our own server.

Hosting and server log files

The website is hosted on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. When you visit our pages, the server automatically processes technically necessary connection data (e.g. IP address and time of access) in log files. This data is used solely for the secure and stable operation of the website and is not merged with other data sources.

Contact form and email contact

If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we use the information you provide (name, email address, message) solely to answer your inquiry. The data is not passed on to third parties and is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for processing your request.

Please note that data transmission on the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Our Instagram account

We run the Instagram account @apolitan_germany. Instagram is provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland ("Meta").

When you visit our account or interact with our posts, for example by liking, commenting or sending messages, Meta processes your data. This includes, for example, your IP address, information about your device and your usage behaviour, even if you do not have an Instagram account or are not logged in. Meta uses cookies and similar technologies for this. Data may also be transferred to the USA. Meta relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and on standard contractual clauses for this.

Where Meta provides us with statistics on the use of our account (Insights), we are jointly responsible with Meta for this processing (Art. 26 GDPR). We only receive these statistics in aggregated form and cannot draw conclusions about individual persons. Under the joint controller addendum, Meta has assumed primary responsibility and fulfils your rights as a data subject. The most effective way to exercise them is therefore directly with Meta. You can of course also contact us.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in presenting our products there and getting in touch with interested people (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). We only use messages you send us via Instagram to reply to you. For details, see the Instagram privacy policy.

On this website we merely link to our Instagram account. No Instagram content is embedded. Data is only sent to Meta when you click the link.

Your rights

You have the right at any time to obtain information about the personal data we have stored about you, and to have it corrected, deleted or its processing restricted, as well as the right to data portability and to object to the processing. To do so, simply use the contact details given above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.

Objection to advertising emails

The use of contact data published as part of the imprint obligation by third parties to send unsolicited advertising and information material is hereby expressly prohibited. The site operators expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising being sent, such as spam emails.
